Lonaconing’s annual Breast Cancer Bucket Drive will take place this Saturday. Mayor Jack Coburn and the town council will be on Main Street from 10am to 1pm collecting monetary donations. All monetary donations go to Team Pink Ladies for the annual breast cancer walk. Coburn says this small three-hour window of time has been successful in past years. New this year, Coburn says a small gift will be given for each donation…
“We’ve really been successful with that in the small three-hour window. The people are very generous as they drive through. This year we’re going to give out the pink bracelets that says ‘Her Fight is Our Fight’ to anyone who donates. And then after that for the rest of the month we’ll be selling those bracelets for a dollar and all those fundings will go to the Breast Cancer Awareness.”
