Lonaconing Mayor Jack Coburn tells WCBC that plans for the town’s annual Christmas light display are underway. A recent donation in honor of an area family member who always liked Lonaconing’s Christmas display will be used to further enhance the decorating in the town this holiday season. The lights should be on the day before Thanksgiving. Mayor Coburn says the town enjoys the idea of a picture-perfect holiday…
“We always want the town to kind of resemble Bedford Falls from the movie, It’s A Wonderful Life. And we’ve been able to almost achieve that with new lights and a lot going on.”
