Local arrests lead investigators to apprehend individual for violent crimes in Prince George’s County On Wednesday, March 20, 2024 an interagency multijurisdictional operation leads to the arrest and apprehension of a suspect wanted in Prince George’s County. The Allegany County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Response Team (SORT), in partnership with Allegany County Combined Warrant Unit, County Combined Criminal Investigations (C3I) Unit, Cumberland Police, Department of Emergency Services, Maryland State Police, Maryland State Police Aviation – Trooper 5, Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Department of Social Services, and Humane Society Animal Crimes and Investigations Global Animal Rescue and Response were able to safely execute multiple warrants and apprehend suspects without incident.
A press release issued by the Allegany County Sheriff’s Office related to arrests of two males on March 15, 2024 for Animal Cruelty revealed to law enforcement officers in Prince George’s (PG) County the whereabouts of a wanted individual they were attempting to locate for violent crimes that occurred in February. Justin Anabaraonye and co-defendant, Paul Baylor, were arrested on March 15, 2024 for animal cruelty offenses. Anabaraonye was subsequently released on a $10,000 Unsecured Personal Bond on March 18, 2024. Due to the seriousness of the charges in PG County, his release prompted this collaborative effort to progress quickly as a mater of public safety. In an attempt to execute multiple warrants, Justin Uzanna Anabaraonye, 18 of Cumberland, was arrested without incident on a Prince George’s County warrant related to events that occurred on or around February 24, 2024. His charges include: Armed Carjacking, Carjacking, Assault-First Degree, Armed Robbery, Firearm Use/Felony-Violent Crime, Robbery, Assault-Second Degree, Theft: $1,500 to Under $25,000, Motor Vehicle/Unlawful Taking, Possession of Firearm by Minor, Unauthorized Removal of Motor Vehicle, Rogue and Vagabond. He is currently being held without bond at the Allegany County Detention Center pending a bail review.
Additionally, Ireonnah Ominique Brown, 19 of Cumberland, was served an arrest warrant at the same loction on Tulip Street after further investigation revealed her suspected involvement and knowledge surrounding the animal cruelty allegedly occurring at that residence. Her charges include: Animal Cruel Fail: Provide, Animal Cruelty, and Aggravated Cruelty Animal. She was released on a $5,000 unsecured personal bond.
