On Saturday, May 13, 2023 at approximately 10:53 AM, officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to a business on Queen City Drive for a disturbance. Police arrived and contacted the staff who reported that a male subject, who was now down the street, had been at the store causing a disturbance. She explained that the subject was upset because she would not sell him tobacco products without identification. Officers contacted the subject and identified him as Matthew Greening. Greening began yelling at officers and creating a disturbance. Greening was warned to keep his voice down. Further investigation was completed and Matthew was told not to return to the store. Matthew yelled at officers again and threw change on the ground. Greening was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters. He was issued a criminal citation and released pending trial.
