Former City Police officer Brian Lepley was the top vote getter in Tuesday’s Cumberland City Council election, garnering 3,618 votes. He was followed by incumbent Eugene Frazier with 3,222 votes. Lauri Marchini finished third, losing her council seat. Lepley talked to WCBC about his plans now as part of the council…
“Well, I think the first thing will do is I need to do is sit down and talk to everybody and see what direction they’re going and get myself familiar with everything. It’s a little bit different than working across the street so I’m really tickled about that. I’m really, really wanting to push the River Project and of course the infrastructure of the streets and stuff like that.”
