The Allegany County Health Department has released the latest COVID-19 data for the county

 

ALLEGANY COUNTY COVID-19 DATA AS OF JANUARY 12:

• CDC COVID-19 Community Transmission  Level: Medium

• Percent of County Population Who Have Received a Complete Primary COVID Vaccine Series: 57.5%

• Cumulative Allegany County COVID Cases: 21,265

• Cumulative Allegany County Deaths: 383

• Cases Per 100,000 People: 21.1 (Maryland: 17.48)

• Positivity Rate: 11.1% (Maryland: 13.06%)

The Allegany County Health Department continues to offer free drive-thru COVID testing at the Allegany County Fairgrounds on Mondays from 2-7 p.m. and on Wednesdays and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. COVID vaccination clinics are held by appointment at the health department on Willowbrook Road in Cumberland on Wednesdays.
