On Saturday, November 2nd, 2024, the Cumberland Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a 2006 Toyota SUV in the area of Beall St. During the stop, a police K9 conducted a free air sniff on the exterior of the vehicle, which indicated positive for the presence of CDS. During a subsequent search of the vehicle, an amount of suspected fentanyl was located. As a result, Adam J Diehl, 46 of Meyersdale PA, was placed under arrest. He was issued a Criminal Citation for the offense and released, pending trial in District Court.
