Governor Jim Justice is calling the West Virginia legislature to Charleston for a special session at the end of the month. He is hoping to deliver another personal income tax cut as well as implement a childcare tax credit. The state is sitting on a surplus of over $800 million dollars and Justice says the money should be put to good use now for West Virginians…
“Our people don’t deserve kicking the can. Hoarding this money and keeping it, you know, for pet projects or whatever it may be down the road. I don’t think it’s a good idea. When absolutely this inflation is eating everybody’s lunch – we all know what it’s like at the gas pump, we all know the grocery stores what it’s like. Absolutely you go through a drive-thru window and you’re just dumb-, I mean dumbfounded.”
