On Monday, September 30th, 2024, at 930pm, Officers from the Cumberland Police Department responded to westbound Interstate 68 prior to Beall St for the report of a motor vehicle crash involving a tractor-trailer. Once on scene, officers observed a jack-knifed truck, blocking the roadway. The operator of the truck advised he had lost control of the truck due to weather conditions. He was later transported to a nearby medical facility for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The roadway was closed for approximately an hour and a half to complete clean up of the crash scene.
