An influx of $35 million dollars in U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development funding is coming to Maryland housing authorities to renovate, improve and build public housing.
Federal lawmakers released a statement saying, “Everyone deserves a safe and affordable place to call home. Team Maryland is committed to finding solutions and increasing options to address the housing crisis that has impacted so many in our state.” The Housing Authority of the City of Cumberland will receive just under $1.2 million dollars.
