Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration is beginning a project on Monday, April 8 at 8 p.m., to improve the ride quality on eastbound I-70 between MD 66 (Mapleville Road) and Crystal Falls Drive near Beaver Creek. The pavement patching work should be complete by 5 a.m., April 9, weather permitting. Should weather delay the improvement project, crews will work April 9 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., April 10.
Drivers can expect alternating single-lane closures on eastbound I-70 within the project limits.
The State Highway Administration’s contractor, Triton Construction, Inc. of Hagerstown, will use cones, barrels and signs to guide motorists safely through the work zone. Drivers should slow down and pay close attention while driving though the work zone.
