The West Virginia Governor’s Highway Safety Program, along with the US Department of Transportation want drivers and motorcyclists to drive sober as summer winds down.

In 2023, nearly 62% of traffic fatalities in West Virginia involved positive indicators of illegal and prescription drug use.

The If You Feel Different, You Drive Different campaign runs through Labor Day, September 2 Law enforcement will be out watching drivers with the goal of preventing drug-impaired driving and arresting impaired drivers caught on roads.
