Communities throughout the area spent much of the Labor Day weekend beginning to assess and repair damage caused Wednesday night and Thursday- as the remnants of Hurricane Ida delivered nearly 6 inches of rain in Cumberland and even more to the west. While Western Maryland took a significant hit, there was even more damage down state with tornadoes hitting Annapolis. Governor Larry Hogan toured the ravaged areas.
