Maryland Governor Larry Hogan, in ceremonies Monday afternoon, signed the $1.5-billion COVID-19 stimulus bill. The Recovery for the Economy, Livelihoods, Industries, Entrepreneurs, and Families (RELIEF) Act includes stimulus payments of up to $750 for 400,000 low income Marylanders who qualify for the state's Earned Income Tax Credit. It also includes $300 million in aid to small businesses. Lawmakers added a one-time payment of $1,000 for those who have applied for unemployment but who have not had their claims approved.
