While he was Governor of Maryland, Larry Hogan appointed six judges to the state supreme court with full bipartisan support from the legislature. He wants to take that spirit of bipartisanship with him to the Senate. He told CNN’s Dana Bash that appointments to the Supreme Court need to go beyond party lines and political games…
“If we can’t get any bipartisan buy-in, then I’m not going to vote for that person. In Washington, we can’t even seem to get one vote. It’s like Democrats will only vote for Democrats and Republicans will only vote for Republicans. If there’s one place where we should not be playing politics, it’s on appointments to the Supreme Court.”
