The Biden administration told governors this week that it will increase vaccine supplies for all states, including sending out 13.5 million doses per week. However, delays in vaccine shipments are likely, due to severe weather across parts of the country. Under state eligibility guidelines Maryland residents age 65 or older, as well as frontline health care providers and some other workers considered essential, are currently authorized to take the vaccine.
