Governor Larry Hogan announced Tuesday that Maryland will open its fourth mass vaccination site and launch a pre-registration system for the state-run mass vaccination sites. The governor began the afternoon briefing by providing an update to the state's coronavirus metrics, saying there continues to be significant improvement in all of the key COVID-19 metrics. Hogan said the state has entered into agreements with the University of Maryland, Baltimore, and Johns Hopkins to more than double the state's surveillance of coronavirus variants to more than 10% of cases.
