The Allegany County Historical Society’s 1845 Firehouse and County United Way are sponsoring the North End Neighborhood Holiday Party. Taking place on Saturday at the Cumberland Hose House on North Mechanic Street, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. there will be a distribution of free books, winter clothing, and essential household items to support families through the winter. Johnathan Narvaez of that Narvaez Foundation and Munchies Tacos tells WCBC the day includes sweet treats, Christmas activities and free tacos…
“Well, it’s going to be a bunch of hot chocolate. We’re going to have our stand outside, a couple fire pits, and we’re going to be giving out food. And once you go inside the facility there should be, like, areas where people can load up their baskets with toiletries, jackets and we’re also going to have Santa out here. And we’re just going to be giving out as much as we can."
