Prospective college students, whether in high school now or thinking of returning to the classroom should make every effort to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid this month.  The form is of particular interest for those who want to attend Allegany College of Maryland where 88% of students receive some kind of financial aid.  Meghan Palumbo, Financial Aid Director at ACM, says the upcoming deadline is crucial for students wanting to attend college in Maryland…

   

“In addition to receiving federal aid on the federal application, that application is also used to determine state aid. State aid has deadlines. The deadline for state aid in Maryland, you want to have that FAFSA completed by March first to maximize your financial aid.”
