On April 21, 2025, deputies responded to Walmart for a reported theft. Upon arrival, deputies located Jennie Rebecca Hesson, 47 years old, Oakland, leaving the store with a shopping cart of stolen merchandise. Based on the investigation, deputies arrested Hesson and charged her with Felony Theft. Hesson was transported to the Garrett County Detention Center, where she was released on her own recognizance after appearing before a District Court Commissioner.
