Debra Brocato of Health Not Harm, a Maryland ballot issue committee, recently spoke to WCBC about the coming referendum on Reproductive Freedom. The group is concentrated on parental rights being taken away through the proposed amendment that would also enshrine abortion in the state’s constitution. Brocato says sponsors are using abortion as a “Trojan horse” to strip parental rights, allowing children to make life altering medical decisions…
“Vote no so a 10-year old can’t go and get puberty blockers without parental consent or knowledge, or a 12-year old girl can’t go get a birth control device implanted in her arm without parental consent or knowledge, or a 14-year old girl go and get a double mastectomy without parental consent or knowledge.”
