Governor Wes Moore has announced the Maryland Insurance Administration’s new resource to help Marylanders navigate health care coverage challenges. The new Health Coverage Assistance Team, known as H-CAT, will provide information, assistance, and advocacy for state residents.
H-CAT is designed to help consumers understand their coverage plans, what is covered, and how to use the benefits and health plan process including authorizations, appeals, and complaints. The resource can be accessed through maryland@insurance.gov.
