If the skies seem a little hazy, it isn’t your eyes. Diffuse smoke from Canadian wildfires is drifting into the region and will be around through the weekend. Pending rain may help clear out the haze, but the Maryland Department of the Environment says the smoke does not warrant any air quality alerts like the ones issued in June of 2023 due to widespread wildfires.
