On Saturday, February 1, 2025 at approximately 11:21 PM, officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to the first block of Greene Street for a disturbance.  The caller reported that a male subject had attempted to assault their vehicle.  Officers arrived in the area and observed that trash had been scattered in the roadway.  Police located the suspect near a business in the 200 block of Greene Street and identified him as Michael Wallace.  Officers observed that Wallace was intoxicated, yelling at himself, and consuming an alcoholic beverage.  Wallace discarded the beverage on the sidewalk and walked away.  Wallace was causing a disturbance which attracted the attention of business customers and staff.  Wallace was placed under arrest and transported to Central Booking where he is currently being held awaiting his initial appearance before the court.
