The Greenbrier Hotel Corporation, owned by West Virginia Governor Jim Justice and his family, has reached an agreement with the credit collection company that was planning a foreclosure sale of the historic resort.
Beltway Capital will receive an undisclosed amount to be paid in full by October 24th. Beltway reserves its rights if the Justice family fails to perform. When payment is made, all issues concerning the resort will be considered concluded.
Governor Justice said that he believes the foreclosure proceedings were “not coincidental” to his primary election win for the US Senate…
“In our own way, we’ve saved Greenbrier again. And that makes me real happy and so we’re going to keep doing good stuff. There’s great days…You mark it down, Jim Justice is telling you right now, there are great days ahead at the Greenbrier.”
