Governor Welcomes King of Jordan

September 26th, 2024 by WCBC Radio

Maryland rolled out the red carpet, literally, for welcoming King Abdullah of Jordan to Annapolis on Wednesday.  The King had delivered a speech on Tuesday in New York at the United Nations General Assembly.  Governor Moore said this was the first time a foreign head of state had visited the Maryland State House in an official capacity. During the one-hour meeting, the two discussed various ways Maryland and Jordan could work together in the future. King Abdullah remarked that he and Moore became fast friends as they both served as paratroopers in the armed services of their countries.
