This Christmas season, Canal Place and the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad are collaborating with businesses in the City of Cumberland for a Polar Express magical holiday. Kimberly Folk, Marketing and Media Director for the Canal Place Preservation Authority says those who ride on the Polar Express will receive a golden ticket they can take to participating businesses to receive a unique item. Businesses are being recruited for the promotion and should reach out to Folk by September 18…
“People that are riding the train and have a golden ticket, either on their phone, through an email confirmation or they receive a golden ticket souvenir on the train – they can use those to go to participating businesses, show their golden ticket and then each individual participating business is offering some kind of special and those specials will be wide-ranging because it’s totally up to each business owner as to what they offer.”
