Frostburg State University has been making the news statewide recently, but it hasn’t been positive publicity. First, the college released news of financial issues resulting in a $7 million structural deficit. Then, the faculty of the university returned a no-confidence vote for President Ron Nowaczyk, Acting President Al Delia, and Provost Traki Taylor. Recently, a state audit found that FSU did not comply with procurement policies and procedures with a new financial aid system and lost almost $700,000 when they decided not to use the system. President Nowaczyk will be a guest on an upcoming WCBC Dave Norman program to discuss the issues at the college.
