Frostburg State University faculty are starting to speak out about the situation at the college. The recent no-confidence vote in President Ron Nowaczyk, Al Delia, and Traki Taylor was not sudden, according to Professor of English and Foreign Languages Andy Duncan. Duncan tells WCBC that there has been a lack of transparency and faculty have now went on record that the President is a – quote – bad boss…
“For years, faculty have told the president at every opportunity that things are bad and getting worse. Years of administrator evaluations, university system surveys, faculty morale assessments, faculty assemblies, faculty senate meetings, hundreds of pages of documentation, all ignored.”
Overall, Duncan says that years of frustration by the faculty led to the vote…
“Everybody’s in tough times. But things are tougher than they should be, than they need to be at Frostburg State because of this management that just won’t listen.”
