Frostburg State University’s spring Choral concert will take place Friday, March 14. The concert begins at 7:30pm in Pealer Recital Hall. This year, the theme is “Something Old, Something New” and is under the direction of Dr. Scott Rieker. Rieker says the financial issues of the university have also touched the music department, spurring the theme of this year’s concert…
“We have music that is old, in other words we have performed it before, new – some pieces that we’ve borrowed. And then something blue: we have an alumnus named Grant Strickning who wrote a piece of vocal jazz about five years ago, and so we’re going to perform that again with him, and he’s going to come back and play bass on it.”
