Frostburg is recognizing Military Appreciation Day on Saturday, August 31st with a Military Appreciation Parade. The parade will begin at 11am at the top of Main Street. The parade is dedicated to past and present service men and women. Air Force Technical Sergeant Shykana (SH-KONNA) Copeland came to Allegany County back in February as a recruiter in LaVale and saw a need to promote the military to Allegany’s high school and college students…
"I wanted to show them basically people who have been through the military have retired or proud to have served. I know that August 31st is recognizing military appreciation date and so I kind of wanted to take that opportunity to introduce and inspire those in the community."
