On Thursday, June 20, 2024, at 6:03 am, Frostburg City Police responded to East Main St. for a report that an individual pointed and discharged a firearm toward the victim. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim, several witnesses, and the suspect, who was identified as Sean Michael Everhart, 50, of Frostburg. The victim reported that Everhart was in his back yard, pointed a firearm at the victim, and discharged the firearm toward the victim. Officers found Everhart playing loud music, dancing, and speaking in erratic statements. Officers investigated at the scene, collected additional supporting evidence, including multiple spent shell casings and witness statements, and placed the suspect, Everhart, under arrest. Police transported Everhart to FPD headquarters, where he was charged with First Degree Assault, Second Degree Assault, Reckless Endangerment, Disorderly Conduct, Disturbing the Peace, and Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony. FPD Officers obtained and executed a Search and Seizure Warrant from the Allegany County Circuit Court for Everhart’s residence. FPD Officers executed the Search and Seizure Warrant and seized several firearms from Everhart’s residence along with additional evidence. Everhart was transported to the Allegany County Detention Center Central Booking to await an initial appearance before a District Court Commissioner.
