Frostburg Elks Lodge #470 encourages all residents of Allegany County to commemorate Flag Day by flying their United States Flag on Wednesday, June 14th. The local lodge will hold a Flag Day Ceremony at 6:00PM in the lodge parking lot located at 126 East Main Street. The Flag Day celebration is open to the public and will be featuring Patriotic music by the Frostburg Arion Band and a history of the different flags used throughout American History. Rob Rephane, Leading Knight spoke with WCBC news about the ceremony… The flag history will be assisted by members of Boy Scouts troop and Pack 24, and members of the Frostburg American Legion color guard and Frostburg City Police..
Anyone who owns a worn flag can drop them off at the Frostburg Elks Lodge so that it may be disposed of properly.
