May 24th, 2024 by WCBC Radio

On April 12th 2024 The Cumberland Police Department responded to a Fraud complaint that occurred at a business in the 100blk of Baltimore St. Investigation revealed that an unknown female suspect had removed a sum of US Currency unlawfully from the victim's bank account while using the ATM at the business drive thru.

Video footage was received from the business and the public's assistance was requested in identifying the suspect. It was determined that the video footage obtained was of the wrong transaction and the female that was asked to be identified was not the suspect. The correct footage was obtained and the true suspect was identified. An application for charges was submitted through the District Court resulting in a criminal summons being issued and served on 31 year old Alyssa Sullivan of Cumberland. Sullivan was charged with unlawful use of a credit card and related charges. Sullivan was released after receiving her summons pending trial in District Court. The Cumberland Police Dept would like to thank the public for their assistance in identifying the suspect in this case.
