On Friday, January 27th, 2023, The Cumberland City Police arrested Gregory Shawn Robinette, 44, of Fort Ashby WV. Robinette was arrested when officers responded to the area of Queen City Pavement for the report of a disturbance. During the incident, it was discovered that Robinette had two active arrest warrants in Mineral County WV for felony absconding. Robinette was then placed under arrest for being a fugitive from justice and transported to Police Headquarters for processing. He was taken before the District Court Commissioner for his Initial Appearance where remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center. He is currently being held without bond, awaiting extradition to West Virginia.
