The Flood Watch continues for * Portions of western Maryland...western Virginia and eastern West Virginia, including the following areas: in western Maryland, Central and Eastern Allegany, Extreme Western Allegany and Garrett. In western Virginia, Eastern Highland and Western Highland. In eastern West Virginia, Eastern Grant, Eastern Mineral, Eastern Pendleton, Western Grant, Western Mineral and Western Pendleton. * From 4 AM EST Sunday through late Sunday night * A steady period of moderate to heavy rainfall is likely to occur late tonight through late Sunday night. 1.5 to 2 inches of rain are possible during this period. This rain, along with snow melt over higher elevations, could result in flooding over portions of the area. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on current forecasts. You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
