On 04/10/2023, at approximately 1430 hours, Deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling Westbound on Interstate 68, near the 58 mile marker. The operator failed to yield to deputies and attempted to flee and elude law enforcement at high rates of speed, and in a reckless manner. Deputies were ultimately able to block the suspect vehicle off from surrounding traffic and tactically maneuver the suspect vehicle to a complete stop near the 41 mile marker. Pursuant to the investigation on scene Sabre Fontasia Taylor, 23 years old, of Newark NJ was arrested and charged with the following: -Obstructing & Hindering -Resisting Arrest -Operating a motor vehicle without a license -Operating a motor vehicle on a revoked out of state license -Fleeing and Eluding Law Enforcement -Multiple additional traffic charges It was also learned that Taylor was currently on probation in New Jersey for firearm related charges. No injuries were sustained by the suspects, public, or law enforcement, during this incident. Furthermore, no traffic accidents occurred during the entirety of the vehicle pursuit, or subsequent investigation on scene. Taylor is currently being held at the Allegany County Detention Center while she awaits her initial appearance at District Court.
