Maryland has its first heat-related death of the year.  A 63-year old Cecil County man died as a result of the high temperatures and humidity that has been occurring across the state. The Maryland Department of Health reported the death in its Heat-Related Illness Surveillance Report.  Anyone can be a victim of heat-related illness. Maryland had 5 heat-related deaths in 2022.
