Smoke alarms alerted the occupant of a mobile home in Pinto on Monday, allowing him to escape safely from a structure fire. The fire, on Jared Drive, caused over $70,000 in damages. A caller to WCBC Monday morning said a fire truck was delayed in getting to the fire because of drivers who would not yield the right of way to first responders…
“The people – that will not move off the road for these fire trucks. There was one car that absolutely would not give the road for the fire trucks. There is a trailer out here burning. This is how people care about other people in this world today. There must be 10 to 12 fire trucks out here.”
