A family is being assisted by the American Red Cross after fire destroyed their dwelling. Fire companies responded to Brice Hollow Road Thursday for the blaze which started in a bedroom.  Preliminary investigation shows an electrical short occurred in a power strip. One resident was transported to UPMC Western Maryland Hospital and treated for minor injuries. 12 dogs were found to be deceased inside the residence.
