The Arts & Entertainment District of Cumberland has announced semi-finalists in development of a Public Art Across Maryland planning grant project. The installation to be located on the CBIZ Financial Services building located Mechanic and Baltimore Streets is the first in a series of public art for the reimagined downtown. Artists making the cut are Kat Wharton, Frank Asher, and local artist team Annie Kilcoyne and William Baxter. Renderings of the proposed concepts will be available for view at the Allegany Arts Council beginning September 9, and will remain available through September 27.
