On Tuesday, June 13th, The Cumberland City Police responded to a residence in the 700 block of Frederick St to assist EMS with an unknown medical emergency. Once on scene, officers located two heavily intoxicated subjects. One of the subjects, a female, was able to be awakened and identified. The other subject had to be attended to by responding EMS units. Once EMS units arrived, the female subject became belligerent with officers and EMS personnel. The female was instructed numerous times to cease her disruptive behavior and allow EMS to administer appropriate medical care. The female refused to comply and shoved an officer. As a result, Kayla Elizabeth Glotfelty, 24, was placed under arrest. Once placed under arrest, she began to kick officers and create a further disturbance outside the home. Glotfelty was taken before a District Court Commissioner for an Initial Appearance where she was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center. She is currently being held on $2,000 bond.
