The Federal Communications Commission is proposing labels be added to any radio and television political commercials created with the aid of artificial intelligence. FCC Chair Jessica Rosenworcel has come under fire for wanting the labels, with the Federal Elections Commission saying the proposal invades their jurisdiction and conflicts with current regulations. “So we are just behind this principal of transparency which you would simply say if AI was used. It’s nothing more complicated than that. We are proposing transparency. It’s very simple, was AI used. Yes or no.”
