The State of Maryland’s EZ-Pass users are the latest to be targeted in telephone scams.
The Attorney General’s office is reporting residents are receiving text messages that falsely indicate money is owed for unpaid tolls. The message includes a link to settle the outstanding amount.
The AG’s office advises individuals not to click any links or provide financial information. The legitimate link for EZ Pass is driveezmd.com.
