Maryland state retirees may be in receipt of a letter from the Maryland Public Employee Retiree Chapter of AFSCME, the union that represented them when they were employed by the state.
The letter asks retirees to join the organization and pay dues, saying that it is working to restore lost prescription benefits that end in December of this year.
