On Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at 11:30 AM, officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to a residence on E. Second Street for an assault. Police arrived and contacted an alleged victim who reported that he was assaulted by Nicole Kasecamp. Police observed that the victim had sustained injuries. After further investigation, Kasecamp was placed under arrest and transported to Central Booking. She was later seen by a District Court Commissioner and posted a $5,000 unsecured personal bond.

On Friday, March 24th, 2023, The Cumberland Police Department responded to a residence in the 600 block of East Second St for the report of an assault. Upon arrival, officers contacted the victim of the alleged assault. The victim advised officers that an argument had started in the residence over a mishap regarding the laundry. The victim stated that the argument continued to escalate and then turned physical. During the assault, the victim was choked by the suspect which caused minor visible injuries to the victim’s neck. The suspect then took the victim’s phone and threw it, destroying the phone. As a result of the investigation, Cora Jean Smith, 19, was placed under arrest and transported to Police Headquarters for processing. She was taken before the District Court Commissioner for her Initial Appearance where she was released on a $5000 unsecured bond.
