On Tuesday, April 22, 2025, an officer from the Cumberland Police Department observed Renzell Williams walking on East Fourth Street. The officer ran a wanted check and confirmed that Williams was currently wanted on a grand jury indictment for CDS related charges. The officer contacted Williams who initially complied but then pushed the officer in an attempt to flee. Williams was placed under arrest after a brief struggle. During a search incident to arrest the officer located suspected drug paraphernalia. Williams was transported to the Allegany County Detention Center, held without bond.
