Fall trout stocking will begin in early October, according to the Maryland Department of Natural Resources.  Crews will transport thousands of state hatchery-raised brown, golden and rainbow trout to select creeks, rivers, lakes, and ponds across the state.  Anglers can call the trout stocking hotline on Fridays for a weekly update on all locations stocked. The DNR publishes daily updates on its webpage and social media outlets.
