Department of Housing and Community Development Secretary Jake Day has been keeping a close eye on the Baltimore Street redevelopment project – it is very similar to work done in the downtown area of his hometown of Salisbury. “A declining population, and a postindustrial city, not surprisingly there have been challenges to making it what it can be and living up to its potential. But this will no doubt signal to the folks on the private side of the property line now is the time to invest and take this seriously and there is real momentum behind it.”
