The DelFest Foundation was established in 2010 to raise awareness and funds for local non-profit organizations that directly address issues of hunger, housing, childhood development, music enrichment, social justice and the environment in Allegany County.
The DelFest Foundation has contributed over $750,000 back to the community on basis of applications that can be submitted through their website at https://delfestfoundation.org/
Recipients of Foundation funds include the Western Maryland Food Bank, Legal Aid, Hot Stove League, Associated Charities, Allegany Health Right, Salvation Army, Jane’s Place, Family Crisis Resource Center, Allegany County Habitat for Humanity, Mission of Mercy, Potomac District Boy Scouts of America and the Allegany County Historical Society.
Rob McCoury recently delivered a $60,000+ check to DelFest Foundation board members Barb Buehl, Bill Rudd, and Matthew Scarpelli. The check represented funds contributed from 2024 DelFest beverage sale proceeds, beverage server tips and raffle ticket sales.
